Finding the right area is highly critical since angler fishes are not really your typical varieties like bass that you can easily spot in most regions. While angler fishes can be found all over the world, they are more likely to be spotted in muddy and sandy seabed with shells and gravels that provide numerous preys that they can feed on. If you happen to have lady luck smiling down on you and you really caught an angler fish, you can look forward to eating its great meat often used as mock scampi. However, most people simply release it back to the sea, as they don't really relish the thought of eating such grossly looking fish. So it's your call.
