    Ice Fishing Trailer

When it comes to ice fishermen, there are two distinctive classes: those that fish for a day and those that go on a longer fishing expedition. While those only going for a day of fishing would only require what they are wearing and a sled to take their heavier belongings, those that go for longer fishing would require an ice fishing trailer complete with every necessity they would need.

Long ice fishing expeditions are gaining in popularity lately. Maybe that is due to the number of affordable ice fishing trailers on the market and the recent surge of game species available for ice fishing, particularly northern pikes.

Northern pikes, since their introduction to American water basins, have become a threat to the stability of the ecosystem. A very voracious feeder, this carnivorous fish eats almost any living organism in the water. And due to its rows of sharp teeth, there were reports of fingers missing -nipped by these pikes, of those who were careless enough to let their fingers trail on the water surface.

In contrast to its voracious feeding habit, the best time to land a pike is during winter doing ice fishing. That is because of the lessening of prey that these gluttonous fishes would gobble just about anything or any lure. The only problem is that they are very random in their travel, making ice fishing for northern pikes a hit and miss affair.

Because of that, mostly those that target northern pikes are also those that go on longer ice fishing. These are also the people that make use of ice fishing trailer.

There are a dozen of sites that sell ice fishing trailers. Here are some of them.

    Fish House Supply

Fish House Supply offers a ready made ice fishing trailer, or a custom made ice fishing trailer. Constructed of square steel tubing, this trailer can withstand a monsoon... not that there would be any. The floors are made of wood, making it anti frost and would still be warmer even if it's raking cold outside.

    Team Ice Pro

Those journeymen that love bring with them their own homes can rejoice with Team Ice Pro's ice fishing trailer. Very nice exterior and interior features, plus it has its own window. The beauty of this ready made ice fishing trailer is that it already has everything, all set to roll out. From light fixtures to carpet, it even has fiberglass insulation.

Ice fishing trailer isn't a mystery to build too. Just about anyone can build one, as evident to this page: wnrmag.com/stories/2001/dec01/shanty.htm
